Stand Up For Parental Rights Tomorrow

Moms and dads,

We are SO close to empowering millions of Texas parents with school choice! TOMORROW is the day to make our voices heard and stand up for our right to educate our children at the school that best fits their needs.

The Legislature will convene at 10:00 AM to discuss Education Savings Accounts. We need to be there to support them in that vote to keep ESAs in HB 1! The more of us show up, the more support our legislators see, and the more likely it is that we get a good outcome. It’s that straightforward!

You may have seen the recent video of Rep. Talarico stating “I expect one of the first amendments to be a Republican amendment to strip the voucher section of that bill.  And that will be a straight up or down vote.”  If anyone from any party is going to vote against the parents of Texas and our right to select the best education for our children, they must do it in front of us!

So, we need you to join us on the East Capitol Lawn at 9:15 AM tomorrow, Friday 11/17. We’ll provide the tacos and t-shirts – you just need to bring your presence! I look forward to seeing you there.

I want to ensure every parent knows that regardless of what occurs with this union-led amendment push, we stand united in our mission!

Moms and dads of Texas, we are standing on the right side of history and fighting for every child in Texas to have an excellent education. We have the momentum, and we have the leadership fighting for us, so even if we hit some roadblocks tomorrow, we will keep fighting until we emerge victorious!

If you can’t attend, don’t worry—there’s still a way to make your voice heard. Just click here and enter in your address to get connected with a pre-written email, tweet, and even an easy-connect phone call. We’re doing everything we can to make contacting your legislator easy for you!
